Stayed at this lovely, quirky place in Essex. Lots of space, cozy fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen. The garden was great for kids and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Highly recommend!
Oh, I absolutely loved having to search for the hidden entrance door and constantly ducking to avoid hitting my head! So much fun.

We absolutely loved our stay at this stunning historic home. The house oozes with character and charm, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The spacious and friendly layout, along with the beautiful garden and stunning views, provided the perfect setting for our multi-generational group. The location was ideal, offering a peaceful rural countryside experience while still being close to town and amenities. The house was well-equipped and clean, with plenty of room to relax and play. The communication with the owners, Olly and Mirek, was easy and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Not one thing.

I had an amazing stay at Pounce Hall! The beautiful historic building and stunning surroundings made the whole experience truly special. The house was equipped with everything we could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to board games. The spaciousness of the property easily accommodated our group of six, and there was plenty of room for even more guests without feeling crowded. The grand piano was a delightful bonus that added to the homely atmosphere. We were fortunate to have great weather and spent a lot of time outside exploring the extensive garden. The communication with Mirek was excellent and accessing the property was a breeze. I only wish we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy all that Pounce Hall has to offer. I highly recommend this historic home for a memorable getaway.

The bathrooms at Pounce Hall were awesome, dude! They had not one, not two, but three bathrooms! And get this, all three had showers! No more fighting for bathroom time in the morning. Plus, they had hairdryers and even a washing machine. A total win for someone like me who wants to be in touch with nature but still needs some modern conveniences.
I'm not gonna lie, there was one thing about the bathrooms that I wasn't super stoked about. The bathrooms only had showers, no tubs.

I recently had an amazing stay at a stunning historic home in rural Essex. The house was perfect for my family with kids. The kitchen had everything we needed and even supplied dishwashing tabs and tea towels. The garden was fantastic, and we loved eating al fresco at the garden table. We enjoyed playing croquet and other garden games that were provided. The house had lots of different rooms to chill in, and the beds were comfortable. The towels provided were beautifully soft, and there were even towels for the downstairs loo. it was a perfect place for a big group of friends or family.
We felt incredibly welcomed during our stay at the historic home in rural Essex and had nothing to complain about.
